Ein - englischgeschriebener - Bericht aus Warschau

Streets of Warsaw - a territory of war

Unfortunately there were many objective reasons, because of which many our lads were unable to visit Poland, but some were just lazy - special greeting to them!

Atmosphere before the game was really hot, public was expecting riots, both Russian & Polish media made it even hotter.

Many years have passed since game Ukraine - Russia, and agreement of all Russian firms acting together in Kiev that day. Old leaders mostly left hooliganism, new ones didn't care about the organization of Russian hooligans before the EURO 2012.

Matchday: we in a little group went to the city centre,it was logical to fing there both Russian & Polish groups. Near the city centre we met many little Polish groups spotting everynody around. Om the main square of the castle we met few Russian lads and go with them to one of the pubs near the old town, here we met ~20-25 Russian lads - mostly Spartak, few Zenit,CSKA and lads from Riga (FC Ventspils,Russians from Latvia). We've got the information that Zenit lads are gathering together in some place in 1 hour time,so we had yet time for a few beers. Some lads were sitting inside, some went outdoors. (there was quite long distance between the entrance to the pub and our table)

Then suddenly arrived our girl and said that there is a fight outdoors - we ran to the entrance, there was a fight between our lads who went to smoke outdoors and Poles. Poles were in masks with flares & throwing various items. We stood in the doors replying with the same - throwing items & Polish flares. We regroupped and went outdoors,Poles invited us to the street, but suddenly the police arrived and Poles ran. We've got few broken heads because of the stuff which was thrown. I thought poles were ~ 30,but only late in the night I was told that they were ~60 (Rakow Chenstohowa,Radom,Chuwaj Pshemusl,Legia,Lechia)

Police didn't arrest us,and we left the pub. We went to the main square, there was a fight - poles shashd the cafes with clowns and a few lads sitting there. One of the Poles, whom we were fighting in the pub came to us,said in was a good fight and proposed continuing it in the forest,we replied that it was only beguinnning of the day.

We waited for taxi, suddenly some Polish hools arrived from one of the cafes,we prepaired to fight, but they didn't attack because of the police. We had a conversation, exchanged with phone numbers, they were from Lechia & Slask Wroclaw, and said they had ~100 ladsand they are ready to fight in the forest. Police stopped Poles to check their ID's,we left with taxi to the place where our lads gathered. But we are too late, and lads had already left for the march.

I am not writing that Russians again arrived and beat everyone, Poles were acting good, and we were like English in Moscow, when all Russian hools were trying to find them.

Group of our hools on the march fight back all attacking poles, but they attack from all sides and many clowns were beaten on the march, also total terror for all Russian ordinary fans on the streets, but all little groups of Russian hools in the city stood their ground, nobody ran and all made a good resistance. Many Russian firms arrived only few hours before the game, the most numerous were the Capitals from Dynamo Moscow ~15 people.

After the game police left us on stadium for 20 minutes, few leaders managed to agree to go to the city centre all together ~300 people (all ultras & hools, nearly everyone more or less decent on Russian tribune that day),we knew that there was a lot of police on the bridge,so we've decided to go to the centre by train. We've got the info that Poles left fanzone and get all together in one definite place - we go to meet them,by train we crossed Wisla river,we left the railway station and go to the centre singing (u have video on utube),saw some Poles and ran to smash them, but police stopped us,and surrounded - we decided not to fight with police,it was useless,we all would have been arrested. We saw some clashes between Poles & police nearby, but for us the evening was over.

Later we were told that Poles had 400-500 people, very good group of 70 Legia,40 Lech,100 Lechia + Slask, and many regional firms. But they arrived on the place earlier, police tried to arrest them, majority escaped, but ~100 were arrested. We stood surrounded by police for a few hours, then we were released one by one, cameras were recording faces and passports.

We were in lack of leaders and organisation that day,and I am sure that if one of the Russian top firms would visit Poland in good number, top firms could have acted even on their own, without uniting in one group. May be before the game with greeks in would be different because there would be less police on the streets.

I have one question to Poles, why Rusians are knocking into your doors for 5 and even more years, and u are refusing to meet in the forest exept Slask-CSKA fight? But yesterday every firm tried to show themselves on maximally. So if your are really so cool and brave,in which we have no doubts, acccept the proposals after the EURO,and let The God make your clubs play in Russia in eurocups, and your national team play on WC 2018 in Russia, then we'll see how many Poles will arrive to Russia to stand for an honour of their country, like Russian lads did in Warsaw.
